Spices not only add flavor to your food, they also add great  health benefits as well..  There are so many it is hard to decide which ones to talk about first .  I love to add fresh herbs to dishes to give more flavor and sometimes as a great garnish, but they also can have great health benefits. Turmeric ( Curcumin)  

Found in  foods from Southeast Asia , India, and Mexico. Great when added to lentils or legumes.

Cayenne and red chili peppers

Cayenne peppers are found in many types of foods. It is most common in Cajun, Spanish, Mexican, Creole, and Thai. To give your hot chocolate a kick just add  a dash of cayenne pepper.
