Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the increased pressure in your eye.  It rarely causes symptoms , but it can lead to the loss of peripheral vision (tunnel vision). Foods to eat to help your glaucoma are foods high in vitamin C and flavanoids. Fruits and vegetables, bilberries and blueberries help prevent connective tissue damage. Eat cold water fish such as salmon, herring and mackerel because of their high content of omega-3 fatty acids. Try to avoid corticosteroids (prednisone) that is used for inflammatory and severe allergic conditions. It weakens collagen in your eyes. Also eliminate all allergens from your diet and environment.
